Crispy meringue cake

This crispy meringue cake will be the big snack of the party! You make the cake base from meringue, chocolate, and Rice Krispies, which are then baked in the oven. Fill the cake with yummy buttercream and decorate with whipped cream and grated chocolate. Better than candy!

Bottoms

4 egg whites

3 dl sugar

100 g dark chocolate (type block)

3 dl Rice Krispies

Filling

4 egg yolks

1 dl sugar

100 g butter or margarine

Garnish

3 dl whipped cream

50 g dark chocolate (type block)

Set the oven to 125 ° C.

Bottoms: Whisk egg whites and sugar to a thick meringue mass. Chop the chocolate. Turn down the chocolate chips and rice krispies.

Spread the meringue mass on a greased baking sheet paper in a long pan, 30×40 cm (for 10 ports).

Bake in the middle of the oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Loosen the bottom when it is warm. Divide it in half. Let the parts cool on the rear grille.

Filling: Mix egg yolks and sugar in a saucepan. Simmer the cream while stirring until it begins to thicken. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the shortening. Let the cream cool.

Spread the cream on one bottom and place the other on top.

Garnish: Whip the cream and spread it over the cake. Grate the chocolate and sprinkle it over the cake. The cake is best if it is put together at least 1/2 day before serving.
