Cherry mazarines

A mazarine with a lovely combination of cherries and almonds. Decorate with beautiful pink icing and top with a cherry.

Ingredients: for 16 pcs

Flour 3 dl

Powdered sugar 3 tablespoons

Baking powder ½ tsk

Butter 100 g

Egg 1


Almond mass, grated 250 g

Powdered sugar ½ dl

Butter 125 g

Egg 2

Cherry jam or marmalade 1 dl


Icing sugar 2 dl

Water 1½ tbsp

Do this

Mix flour, sugar, and baking powder in a food processor. Add the butter in small pieces and run to a crumbly mass. Mix the egg and quickly roll it into a dough. Press the dough into Mazarin foil tins. Leave in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. Set the oven to 200 °. Mix almond paste and sugar. Add the butter and stir to a smooth batter. Stir in the eggs, one at a time. Put a dollop of cherry jam in the bottom of each mold. Distribute the filling in the molds. Bake in the middle of the oven for 15-18 minutes. Let cool. Mix the ingredients for the glaze and spread over the mazarines. Garnish if necessary with cherries.
